Since 1941, Pac NW Covenant Church Men have been organizing events. This year’s annual retreat is at Camp of the Cascades near Yelm, WA. The focus is on God and His Word, food, fun and fellowship. We encourage men to bring their sons, friends, and colleagues for spiritual renewal and bonding.
The theme of the retreat this year is how men and their relationships with God and others are controlled and impacted by technology. What does it look like to be “Unplugged”? When is being unplugged appropriate? When is it inappropriate? How are we to live out our mission taking into account both the physical world we dwell in and the heavenly mission we are called to?
Covenant Men provide the worship, field games, teaching sessions, breakout sessions and evening snacks/activities. We have a lineup of four great speakers. The camp provides great meals, has hiking trails, and a private lake with canoes. Camp staff will be operating their Zip Line, Climbing Tower, Horse Trail Ride, and a service opportunity for men desiring to help prepare the camp for the coming season. Attendees will be free to enjoy the trails, practice their fly fishing skills, engage in fellowship, camp fires, early morning prayer, personal quiet times, and pursue their relationship with God.
For fun, we will be mixing in references to the movie “The Matrix,” so come prepared with your sunglasses and open minds. Register now and get ready to be unplugged and recharged.
